I am writing a satirical, short book that follows chemistry students in their first year of university. It’s fictional, but in some sense almost too real.
Previous research by Bubba et al has shown that 99±5% of chemistry students develop “a profound disillusionment with empirical reality” (0.1% lose all ability to feel emotions and claim to have achieved perpetual motion using a magnetic stirrer). This book is a warning (or coping mechanism) for current and future students, and post-trauma therapy for graduates.
